Into The Water is a family show by internet folk-dance sensations Up & Over It. Their unique brand of hand and toe-tapping folk dancing has earnt the company over 11 million views on youtube, and led them to appear on a host of TV shows across the globe, including Britain’s Got Talent, ABC Nightline and America’s Got Talent. The Riverdance alumni use a blend of folk traditions to tell the story of two people who are washed up on a magical wasteland, where anything is possible and friendship is everything.
What we thought;
Erin (10) – I thought it was exciting. I liked the quick moves and the bears. The projections were amazing and went wit the music really well.
Alex (34) – I enjoyed the quirky style of story telling and the way that the plot moved forward with the dancing and music. It was quite funny in parts, almost slapstick, which I appreciated.
Erica (33) – I was quite surprised that there was only a small audience, especially as this act has featured on Britain’s Got Talent. There were some great effects which kept the interest up when sometimes the plot was a little lost on me. I really enjoyed the dancing parts and would have been quite happy if that had played a bigger part in the show.
Into The Water is on at Surgeon’s Hall until 21st August – Find out more and buy tickets here.
