I’m still in the process of reviewing the over 1000 posts I wrote over a ten year span on my old blog.
I came across a a five year bucket list I wrote six years ago, it was interesting to see how I got on…
See my first and only child start school
Done. In fact, we’re under a year away from seeing her start secondary school.
Take my husband to New York for his 30th birthday
Done. We actually took a week long trip to Boston and New York. We loved Boston, and hated New York!
Graduate from university with a degree
I managed two years before I had to make a choice between running a business and completing one of the other things on my list (read on to find out). No regrets.
Become fully self employed, earning a full-time income consistently
Replace both our cars
Done. I can’t remember what cars we had, but we replaced them for a Mazda and a Mini.
Go to Las Vegas for my 30th
I didn’t go to Las Vegas for my 30th, I actually did one of the other things on my list instead. Las Vegas is still on the list to visit some time in the future.
Get my garden finished
Done, sort of. We didn’t finish the garden, but we moved to a house where the garden was finished – not sure if that counts?
Take Erin back to Florida
We haven’t done this yet, but we are making plans for 2018!
Stay healthy and free from serious crohns flare ups
Done. Probably one of the most difficult to achieve, but I discovered some strategies that seem to be working. You can read more about them here – How To Stop Worrying And Feel Better
Meet up with my blogging friends as many times as we can manage
Done. We’ve met up for several more trips since we went to Florida.
Go to Memphis and visit Graceland with my Mum
Done. We did this trip for her 50th and my 30th.
Become an Aunty
Done. My niece Evie was born just over a year ago.
Write a book and have it published
Celebrate my tenth wedding anniversary
Done. We celebrated with a ‘Dining at the Pass’ experience at One Square, which was followed up the following year with dinner at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles.
Not a clean sweep, but I’m pretty pleased with how I’ve done!
